‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ Season 4 Will Be Shorter

It has been revealed that season 4 of the hit Hulu series “The Handmaid’s Tale” will be released sometime later this year, however, it will be a shorter season with only ten episodes rather than thirteen.

According to showrunner Bruce Miller, the decision for a shorter season was made for “100% creative reasons”, as he claimed that many of the storylines that will play out in the upcoming season that is just beginning to take shape will play out better as a ten-episode season.

This takes us back to the format for season 1 of “The Handmaid’s Tale” which only consisted of ten episodes as well. While we do not have an official release date set for season 4, filming is set to begin in March.

The series, created by Bruce Miller in 2017, adapts the famous novel by Margaret Atwood published in 1985.
