More News Regarding Disney’s Live-Action ‘Peter Pan’ Remake

It is surely going to be a very busy spring for Disney, as we are eagerly anticipating the upcoming live-action remakes of both “The Little Mermaid” and “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs”, as well as ‘Mulan” which is set to hit theaters on March 25th.

We can now add another live-action remake film to the list, as Disney is planning to release “Peter Pan and Wendy”, not to be confused with “Wendy” by director Benh Zeitlin (Beasts of the Southern Wild) to be released in 2020 as well.

The upcoming Disney remake will be written and directed by David Lowery (Ain’t Them Bodies Saints, A Ghost Story), assisted by Toby Halbrooks. The pair already made the live-action version of Pete’s Dragon for the studio.

Thus far there have been no casting announcements revealed for the project, however, filming is set to begin in April. It has also not been revealed whether or not “Peter Pan and Wendy’ will see a theatrical release or go straight to the Disney+ streaming service.
