FX Orders Three Additional Seasons Of ‘American Horror Story’

American Horror Story, the wildly popular anthological limited series created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk has been renewed for an additional three seasons on FX!

Following on the success of last year’s American Horror Story: 1984, AHS installments 11, 12 and 13 add to the previously ordered 10th season scheduled to air this year. The Emmy® and Golden Globe® winning AHS franchise is produced by 20th Century Fox Television.

“Ryan and Brad are the undisputed masters of horror TV, having created the anthological limited series with American Horror Story and sustaining its success for nearly a decade as FX’s highest-rated series,” said Landgraf. “We are grateful to them and Dana Walden and our studio partners for committing to another three years.  AHS has showcased a wealth of award-winning actors since day one and we appreciate the contributions of everyone, including Ryan, Brad and fellow executive producers Tim Minear, James Wong, Alexis Martin Woodall, and Bradley Buecker, the writers, directors, cast, and crew for each new, unforgettable installment of American Horror Story.”

American Horror Story is an anthology series that explores a different horror theme and setting for each installment, ranging from a haunted house, an insane asylum, witches coven, traveling freak show, to a hotel with a dark and murderous history.

Through its nine installments, American Horror Story has averaged nearly 10 million Total Viewers (9.8 million) per episode across all linear and non-linear platforms. In all, the series has delivered a total audience of more than 1 billion Total Viewers (1.01 billion) across the 103 episodes of the nine installments.
