Paramount pictures have released a new batch of character posters for ‘Mission: Impossible Fallout‘ and everyone is looking pretty serious, especially Henry Cavill‘s Mustache. All joking aside, the film follows up where ‘Rogue Nation‘ left off, dealing with the repercussions of not only that film, but most of Ethan Hunt’s adventures in the franchise as well. At least that’s what the marketing has implied thus far. Each entry into the ‘Mission: Impossible‘ franchise has increased in quality. If the most recent trailer for the film are any indication, ‘Mission: Impossible Fallout‘ should top the series in terms of both the insanity of the stunts & the personal nature of the story.
The posters themselves highlight the hefty ensemble put together by series star/producer Tom Cruise & writer/director Christopher Mcquarrie. We get good looks at series newcomers Cavill, Angela Basset, and Vanessa Kirby along with franchise returnees Rebecca Ferguson, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, and Alec Baldwin. What is so striking about all of these posters is that they seem to be taken from actual footage form the film itself, as opposed to heavily photoshopping the actors from green screen images. My biggest problem with these posters is the clearly artificial lens flair that dominates each poster, but other than this, these posters are pretty awesome.
The film is set to hit theaters on July 27th, 2018. In the meantime, here are the character posters, along with the official synopsis for ‘Mission: Impossible Fallout‘:
