pop! pop! podcast,

Pop! Pop! Ep. 52 – The Rise of Skywalker

Hello Age of the Nerd fans!  It’s been a while since we’ve posted a Pop! Pop! here, and we sincerely apologize!  I’ve had a tough time logging into the site and we’ve finally figured out the issue.  As I work on backlogging the episodes we didn’t get to post, feel free to check them out on ShoutEngine here!

Now, what more of a triumphant return than with Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker!?  Huh!?  The epic conclusion to the Skywalker saga.  40 years, NINE movies, and we’re alive to see it all go down… wow. But we can’t just give up the goods that easy!  There’s more to this podcast than just sexy, sexy, Star Wars.

Jumanji: The Next Level

The gang has been watching A LOT lately; Taylor was able to check out Jumanji 2, Marriage Story, and Michael Bay’s new “masterpiece” 6 Underground.  Lauren finally caught up on The Mandalorian and she’s continuing her adventure through The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.  To cap off it all off,  Joel hates Jeff Bezos, but goddamn does he love The Expanse! This week’s “What We’ve Been Watching” is STACKED.

Star Wars Rise of Skywalker

Before the main course, there’s news of course, and this week’s news has rumors of a Moon Knight casting, the Agents of Shield going galactic, and a certain Nickelodeon obstacle course show coming back… for adults.  Then what you’ve all been waiting for: we take a deep, deep, deep, dive into STAR WARS: The Rise of Skywalker.  The third and final movie in an already somewhat divisive franchise and guess what!?  Surprisingly (or maybe not?) there are some differing opinions on the movie!  GASP, who’d’ve thunk!?  Tune in to find out who hates or loves what, and WHY!?
