Jeremy Renner Signs On to ‘Spawn’ Reboot

Todd McFarlane has cast yet another huge star for the upcoming Spawn Reboot. Academy-Award nominee and current Avenger Jeremy Renner has signed on to play the role of Detective “Twitch” Williams.

McFarlane shared the announcement via Instagram.

Renner will join Oscar award winner Jamie Foxx in the directorial debut of Spawn creator Todd McFarlane. McFarlane is also writer of the film with Blumhouse head Jason Blum producing.

In the Spawn comics, Twitch works as a half of a crime investigating duo with Detective Sam Burke. Twitch is known as the brain of the two and just so happens to be an excellent marksman. There is no word yet on if Sam Burke will be in the film but don’t be surprised if another casting announcement comes soon.

Who do you think would make a good Sam Burke?
