New Casting Announcements For Tarantino’s ‘Once Upon A Time in Hollywood’

Quentin Tarantino‘s upcoming Once Upon A Time in Hollywood has just added some more star power to the cast. Dakota Fanning, Damian Lewis and Luke Perry have all been added as supporting players.

THR reports that Fanning will play the role of Squeaky Fromme (Manson family member that attempted to assassinate President Gerald Ford), Lewis will play the famous Steve McQueen, and Perry will play actor Scott Lancer.

Once Upon A Time in Hollywood is a film about the brutal Sharon Tate murder by the Manson Family. In 1969, Charles Manson orchestrated the murders of Sharon Tate, her unborn child, and three of Tate’s friends, Jay Sebring, Wojciech Frykowski and Abigail Folger.

The film will follow a washed-up western tv actor, Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio) and his stunt double Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt) as they live next-door to Tate on Cielo Drive.

The film also stars Margot Robbie, Burt Reynolds, Timothy Olyphant, Kurt Russell, Tim Roth and Michael Madsen. There are rumors circulating that Tarantino is looking to cast an actor to play martial arts expert and actor Bruce Lee.

Once Upon A Time in Hollywood is set for release Aug. 9, 2019, the fiftieth anniversary of the Manson Family murders. Pretty eerie, right?
