‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’ Character Posters Reveal Janet Van Dyne

Marvel has released a batch of new character posters for ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp‘, finally revealing the full cast for the film. Although the first two trailers for the film focused on the title characters and the plot of the film, Michelle Pfeiffer’s OG Wasp has been nowhere to be found in the marketing–until now. Check out our first official look at the character:

People who watched the first film will remember that Janet was lost in the quantum realm for decades. Indeed, it seems that Janet is still alive and based on this character poster, she’s still wearing some form of the original Wasp suit. I have to say that I’m digging this look for Pfeiffer’s Van Dyne, even if Marvel is still playing things close to the vest in terms of this character. It’s interesting how menacing Pfeiffer looks in this poster, but if I were a betting man I’d say that there’s a good chance that the film’s perceived villain, Ghost, is actually in cahoots with Van Dyne in some way.

Regardless, Peyton Reed returns to the director’s chair, with a script written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, Paul RuddAndrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari. In addition to Pfeiffer & Rudd, the film stars Evangeline LillyMichael PeñaWalton GogginsHannah John-KomenBobby Cannavale,  Judy GreerTip “T.I.” HarrisDavid DastmalchianAbby Ryder-Fortson, and Randall Park, with Laurence Fishburne. ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’ flies into theaters on July 6th, 2018. Here’s the official synopsis for ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’, along with all of the new character posters below:

From the Marvel Cinematic Universe comes “Ant Man and the Wasp,” a new chapter featuring heroes with the astonishing ability to shrink. In the aftermath of “Captain America: Civil War,” Scott Lang grapples with the consequences of his choices as both a Super Hero and a father. As he struggles to rebalance his home life with his responsibilities as Ant-Man, he’s confronted by Hope van Dyne and Dr. Hank Pym with an urgent new mission. Scott must once again put on the suit and learn to fight alongside the Wasp as the team works together to uncover secrets from the past.
