First ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’ TV Spot Spotlights Ghost

Disney has released the first TV Spot for ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp‘. Now that people have had a chance process the events of  ‘Avengers: Infinity War‘, the next installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe seems to lighten the mood a bit. The sequel to 2015’s ‘Ant-Man’ is both that, as well as a follow-up to 2016’s ‘Captan America: Civil War‘, while also taking place around the same time as ‘Infinity War’. The film once again follows Paul Rudd‘s Scott Lang as he attempts to rebuild his family life when he’s confronted by Hope van Dyne and Dr. Hank Pym with an urgent new mission.

Even though we saw the latest trailer for the film only a few weeks ago, this new TV spot highlights the titular duo’s efforts to find and take down the film’s villain, Ghost. Despite the small glimpses that we get with Ghost,  what’s really exciting here is the interplay between Rudd and co-lead Evangeline Lilly. It’s in great little scenes like this one that the film’s heart really seems to lie. Although we still don’t know too much about the story, the movie is a little over a month from release, so expect to learn more about the film as the marketing kicks into full gear in the coming weeks.

The sequel sees Peyton Reed returning to the director’s chair, with a great supporting cast in Michelle PfeifferHannah John-KamenMichael DouglasLaurence FishburneWalton Goggins, and Michael Peńa, ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’ shrinks into theaters on July 6th, 2018. Here’s the official synopsis for the film, along with the one-sheet poster below:
