The BABYKLOK Tour Featuring Baby Metal And Dethklok Slammed Into Philadelphia’s Mann Music Center!

It was a night of metal madness as two of the most unique and popular bands in the genre, Baby Metal and Dethklok, joined forces for a co-headlining show at the Mann Music Center in Philadelphia, PA. The fans were treated to a spectacle of sound, light, and pyrotechnics that showcased the diversity and creativity of metal music.

Baby Metal, the Japanese trio consisting of Suzuka Nakamo (Su-metal), Moa Kikuchi (Moametal) and Momoko Okazaki (Momometal), opened the show with their signature blend of kawaii pop and heavy metal. They performed songs from their latest album, The Other One, as well as some of their classics like Gimme Chocolate!!, Road Of Resistance, and Megitsune. The crowd sang along to the catchy choruses and cheered for the impressive choreography and musicianship of the band and their backing band, the Kami Band. Baby Metal proved that they are not just a novelty act, but a force to be reckoned with in the metal scene.

Dethklok, the fictional band from the animated series Metalocalypse, followed with their own brand of brutal and hilarious metal. The band, consisting of Nathan Explosion, Skwisgaar Skwigelf, Toki Wartooth, William Murderface, and Pickles, played in front of a giant screen that showed clips from the show and animations that synced with the music. They played songs from their four albums, such as Awaken, Murmaider, Go Into The Water, and I Ejaculate Fire. The fans laughed at the absurd lyrics and moshed to the crushing riffs and blast beats. Dethklok delivered a performance that was both entertaining and devastating.

The show ended with a surprise encore, where both bands joined on stage for a medley of their songs. They alternated between Baby Metal’s poppy melodies and Dethklok’s guttural growls, creating a contrast that somehow worked perfectly. The fans went wild as they witnessed this unlikely collaboration that may never happen again. It was a memorable night for metal lovers of all kinds.
