The Reimagining Of Castle Freak Is Now Available On Shudder, VOD, And Digital HD

In his directional debut Tate Steinsiek has some big shoes to fill. Steinsiek known for his work in special effects in films such as  Face Off, Puppet Master: The Littlest Reich is making his film debut with the horror classic Castle Freak. The film Castle Freak came from the minds of horror legend Stuart Gordan and Dennis Paoli back in 1995.

One of the producers of the film is Barbara Crampton who appeared in the original film as Susan Reilly. But have no fear horror fans, Crampton has been a regular in the genre for decades, and her work with director Stuart Gordon is well documented. The film was written by Kathy Charles The Kings of Maine. With a musical score composed by Fabio Frizzi , The Beyond and Kill Bill).

After she’s permanently blinded in a tragic car accident, Rebecca’s receives some bizarre news: her long-lost-mother has recently passed away, leaving her their family’s ancestral castle. Traveling to the estate with a group of friends, Rebecca hopes it will be an opportunity for her to reconnect with a past she never knew—and a mother who seemingly left her behind. When mysterious happenings begin to occur and her friends begin to die, Rebecca must unravel her family’s mysterious history before she too falls prey to the Castle Freak.
