Many fans know Aaron Sorkin for his amazing work as a screenplay writer for films such as “The Social Network”, “The Strategist” and “Steve Jobs”. Sorkin is now making his second foray into the director’s seat with his new film “Trial of the Chicago 7” debuting on Netflix on October 16th.
Sorkin previously directed the film “The Big Game” back in 2015. “Trial of the Chicago 7” is a political drama that will revisit the trial of the Chicago Seven, a group of seven activists tried for inciting violence during demonstrations in Chicago against the Vietnam War and the policies of President Johnson, on the sidelines of the 1968 Democratic National Convention.
The film’s cast will include Sacha Baron Cohen, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Eddie Redmayne, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Jeremy Strong, and Michael Keaton.
