The “Fast and Furious” film franchise has been going strong since 2001 and still shows no signs of slowing down. It now seems that they will be taking the films off the road up into outer space! Actress Michelle Rodriguez confirmed the news in a recent interview with Sirius XM Radio.
Technically, Rodriguez’s character will not have a chance herself to go into space so perhaps it will only be Ludacris who will be reaching for the stars. Michelle Rodríguez adds nevertheless that ” thanks to Justin Lin, the girls have a better preferential treatment” in the upcoming film. The director, to whom the studios had entrusted the steering wheel in 2009 for four films ( Fast and Curious 3 to 6 ), thus marks his comeback in the franchise.
In the cast, we will find Vin Diesel, Cardi B, Ludacris, Finn Cole, Jordana Brewster, Helen Mirren, and Charlize Theron will reprise their roles for this tale, in which Dom’s character faces off against his little brother after picking up his son.
The film is slated to hit theaters in April of 2021!
