Sean Penn our favorite actor turned director turned knuckle sandwich delivery guy to journalists, photographers, and fans is presenting a special treat to fans of the 1982 cult hit Fast Times at Ridgemont High. The treat will be a table reading of the script that put so many well-known actors including Penn on the map.
The event will take place on August 20 at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT on CORE’s official site. Which you can check out here. https://www.youtube.com/CORERESPONSE The event has attracted a star- studded roster including Jennifer Aniston, Morgan Freeman, Julia Roberts, Henry Golding, Shia LaBeouf, Sean Penn, and Matthew McConaughey. Dane Cook will be coproducing the event with a special introduction from the director of the film Amy Heckerling and writer Cameron Crowe. Fan’s will have to tune in to the table read to see who is playing what role.
This live event/table reading will benefit the emergency relief nonprofit CORE, the humanitarian organization co-founded by Penn and CEO Ann Lee, currently on the front lines of the fight against COVID-19 providing testing and relief services in the United States. It also will support the REFORM Alliance, which is focused on passing laws to reform the criminal justice system and protecting the incarcerated population from the spread of COVID-19.
This event will be unrehearsed so anything can happening and should be a very entertaining and nostalgic evening. And don’t forget to DONATE to a great nonprofit.
