We had the privilege of sitting down with Bobcat at SDCC to talk about his new show.

Q: Tell us a little about the show?

Bobcat: “It’s a singing competition show done with knives. (laughter )No. It’s an anthology series in the same tone of the movies I’ve made, where a lot of genres get smashed up. So, like the first episode would be like Cape Fear meets Roger Rabbit.”

Q: Will characters cross over to other episodes?

Bobcat: “Not so much characters, but they all seem to be in the same universe of each other if that makes sense, and there are little Easter eggs in each episode that allude to other episodes There is one episode where a character ends up at a thing called Conspira con and gives a little wink to all the other episodes.”

Q: What monsters scared you as a kid?

Bobcat: “ For some reason I was scared of sea serpents. Which made no sense, because we grew up around lakes and stuff.  I would say what truly scared me was serial killers. My dad took us camping when this serial killer broke out, and he was running around the Outer Randex, and my dad was like let’s go to the Outer Randex. So yea I was convinced this guy Robert Garrow was going to kill me when I was in the Outhouse.”

Misfits and Monsters looks twisted and original be sure to it out on TruTV  on Wed at 10/9c, and be sure to check out the trailer below:
