The Gauntlet Takes the Spotlight in New ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ IMAX Poster

Marvel Studios and Disney have gone all out with marketing for the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War. It seems just about every week within the past few months there have been new images, new clips, TV spotsmagazine covers and posters released for the sure to be box-office hit. Even just two weeks before Infinity War opens in theaters, new posters are being released. The latest poster release is for the IMAX version of the film.

It’s simple and to the point. It’s also the first time a poster for the film isn’t loaded with unmasked superheroes.

As the Avengers and their allies have continued to protect the world from threats too large for any one hero to handle, a new danger has emerged from the cosmic shadows: Thanos. A despot of intergalactic infamy, his goal is to collect all six Infinity Stones, artifacts of unimaginable power, and use them to inflict his twisted will on all of reality. Everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment – the fate of Earth and existence itself has never been more uncertain.

The film stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Pom Klementieff, Karen Gillan, Sean Gunn, Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Holland, Sebastian Stan, Chadwick Boseman, Benedict Wong, Tom Hiddleston, Benicio Del Toro, Danai Gurira and Josh Brolin. Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters April 27.

About Chris Salce

I'm a pop culture fanatic based out of Southern California. My collection of comics and pop culture memorabilia would even impress The Collector. When I'm not busy writing about pop culture news, doing film reviews or interviewing celebs, my brother and I work on a comic book called Blood-RED (And yes, that was a cheap plug). I have a certificate of completion for a children’s storybook writing program.
