Donald Glover’s Deadpool Animated Series Not Happening

Do you remember that Donald Glover FX Deadpool animated series you heard about that sounded too good to be true?  Well, it’s no longer the case.  The series was announced last year for a 10-episode season, but unfortunately will no longer be happening.  Variety broke the news about the series, with the network saying in a statement:
“Due to creative differences, FX, Donald Glover, Stephen Glover and Marvel Television have agreed to part ways on Marvel’s ‘Deadpool’ animated series, FX will no longer be involved with the project,” FX said. “FX and Marvel have an ongoing relationship through our partnership on ‘Legion,’ which will continue.”
Details are scarce, but I’m sure there are variety of reasons the show will not be happening.  For one, Donald Glover, Stephen Glover are both running the equally great second season of Atlanta currently airing on FX.  Donald Glover is a busy man beyond that.  He’ll be appearing in Solo: A Star Wars Story May 25, voicing Simba in the live-action Lion King reboot, as well as making Grammy-award winning music,  The dude is busy.

Fans are sure to be upset by the news, but it doesn’t seem like Glover will be splitting from FX, as his current series Atlanta Robbin’ Season is currently airing with rave reviews.  Fans looking to get their Deadpool fix can check out the latest info on Deadpool 2 here.
