‘Charmed’ Reboot Finds Its Three Sisters

The CW has found its coven for the reboot of Warner Bros.’ Charmed series. It was announced that Madeleine Mantock (Into the Badlands) has joined Sarah Jeffery (Shades of Blue) and Melonie Diaz (Fruitvale Station) to play sisters Macy, Madison and Mel. Confirmed by EW.

The series is described as a “This fierce, funny, feminist reboot of the original series centers on three sisters in a college town who discover they are witches. Between vanquishing supernatural demons, tearing down the patriarchy, and maintaining familial bonds, a witch’s work is never done.”

The original series aired on WB in the late 90s and starred Holly Marie Combs, Alyssa Milano, and Shannen Doherty, who was the replaced in season 4 by Rose McGowan.

The reboot is being written by Jane the Virgin‘s Jennie Snyder Urman and Jessica O’Toole.
