New Trailer for ‘Wreck-It Ralph 2’ Breaks The Internet

Disney has released a new trailer and poster for ‘Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-it Ralph 2‘, the much anticipated sequel to 2012’s ‘Wreck-It Ralph’. The sequel picks up when Ralph and Vanellope must travel to the world wide web in search of a replacement part for her game, Sugar Rush.

Although the trailer itself is pretty light on story, there’s a lot of fun to be had with it. Even though it’s only been six years since the release of the original film, the even further rise to prominence of social media seems to play a big part in the sequel. I’m loving the inclusion of the Daft Punk music that accompanies this trailer, but where it really shines is with the comedy. I think that there’s a lot of great situations to be had with Ralph and Vanellope in both being stuck in the fish out of water position. The scene with the disney princesses towards then end of the trailer is a great example of this, even though this scene is clearly truncated.

My only worry about the sequel is that the filmmakers wen a little too overboard with the references and easter eggs in the sequel, and the fact that this takes place in more of “real world” setting might end up hindering the story and characters. Either way, the film was directed by Rich Moore and Phil Johnston. ‘Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-it Ralph 2‘ stars John C. Reilly, Sarah Silverman, Taraji P. Henson, Jack McBrayer, Jane Lynch, and Alan Tudyk. Look for the film in theaters on November 21st, 2018, but in the meantime you can check out the Trailer, Poster and official synopsis below:

“Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2” leaves Litwak’s video arcade behind, venturing into the uncharted, expansive and thrilling world of the internet—which may or may not survive Ralph’s wrecking. Video game bad guy Ralph (voice of John C. Reilly) and fellow misfit Vanellope von Schweetz (voice of Sarah Silverman) must risk it all by traveling to the world wide web in search of a replacement part to save Vanellope’s video game, Sugar Rush. In way over their heads, Ralph and Vanellope rely on the citizens of the internet—the netizens—to help navigate their way, including a webite entrepreneur named Yesss (voice of Taraji P. Henson), who is the head algorithm and the heart and soul of trend-making site “BuzzzTube.” Directed by Rich Moore (“Zootopia,” “Wreck-It Ralph”) and Phil Johnston (co-writer “Wreck-It Ralph,” “Cedar Rapids,” co-writer “Zootopia,”), and produced by Clark Spencer (“Zootopia,” “Wreck-It Ralph,” “Bolt”), “Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-Ralph 2” hits theaters on Nov. 21, 2018.
