Watch: ‘Thor: Ragnarok’s Hulk vs Thor Fight

Thor: Ragnarok‘ has only been in theaters for a little over week, but it is already smashing it’s way through it’s box office competition with a $400+ Million in earnings, as well as currently having a 93% “Certified Fresh” rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The latest entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe continues the more colorful trend that began with ‘Guardians of the Galaxy‘. Since it seems like pretty much everyone saw the movie in theaters this last week, Marvel Studios has taken it upon themselves to release the (first half) of the fight between Thor and Hulk that was teased in the first trailer for the film. Although this extended clip from director Taika Waititi‘s film only showcases the first part of the confrontation between the two superheroes, the clip does give a good idea of the tone of the film for those who haven’t seen it.

For those that haven’t seen it or don’t want to be spoiled (although it was a heavy part of the marketing), consider this your SPOILER warning going forward. In case you haven’t been sold on the film yet, here’s some context: After losing his precious Mjuilnir in a surprise attack from Hela (Cate Blanchett), Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and Loki (Tom Hiddleston) find themselves stranded on the planet of Sakaar. Upon Thor’s discovery and subsequent enslavement, the planet’s leader, The Grandmaster (Jeff Goldblum), forces the god of thunder into a set of gladiatorial games in order to win back his freedom. The champion of these gladiatorial games turns out to be The Incredible Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), who doesn’t seem as happy as Thor to see him. Fighting ensues.

Here’s the extended clip of the (partial) fight between Thor and Hulk in ‘Thor: Ragnarok‘:
