The 64th XX Cannes Film Festival recently wrapped, and Turkish director Nuri Bilge Ceylan’s Winter Sleep took home the Palme d’Or. The upcoming Steve Carrell, Channing Tatum, and Mark Ruffalo film Foxcatcher, which has been steadily gaining buzz, gave Miller the award for ‘Best Director’.
Palme d’Or winner Jane Campion’s (The Piano) jury consisted of Carole Bouquet, Sofia Coppola, Leila Hatami, Willem Defoe, Gael Garcia Bernal, Jia Zhangke and Nicolas Winding Refn.

Best Screenplay: Leviathan by Andreï Zviaguintsev
Jury Award: Mommy by Xavier Dolan and Goodbye to Language by Jean-Luc Godard (tie)
