Looking for a new show to watch? You should check out Barry which is now streaming on HBO Max. A friend recommended this show and started watching it a few days ago. The show revolves around the titular character Barry as a hitman who catches the acting bug while on assignment.
The show stars Bill Hader who co-created the show with Alec Berg. Hader stars as Barry Berkman, a traumatized military veteran turned depressed hitman who reluctantly travels to Los Angeles. Barry wants to transform his life and start over as an actor, but his criminal past won’t let him.
Henry Winkler stars as Gene Cousineau, Barry’s acting coach. Stephen Root as Barry’s ex-handler Monroe Fuches. Sarah Goldberg as Barry’s on-again-off-again actress girlfriend Sally. Anthony Carrigan as Chechen gangster Noho Hank.
Season four of Barry will premiere on HBO on April 16th. Season four will consist of eight episodes that Hader directed. “As the show has progressed, I’ve gotten much more confident as a director and as a writer,” Hader recently told Variety.
