Netflix Is Getting Raw Next Year, WWE Moving It’s Flagship Show To The Streaming Service Next Year

It’s never a dull moment in the world of professional wrestling. Earlier today it was announced that Monday Night Raw the flagship show of WWE would be moving to the streaming world of Netflix. Netflix reached a multibillion-dollar, 10-year deal for exclusive rights to W.W.E.’s flagship weekly wrestling show, “Raw,” as the streaming giant broadens its offerings with more live content.

Netflix and TKO Group, W.W.E.’s parent company also revealed that  Netflix will also own the rights to stream W.W.E.’s other shows and specials outside the United States. The agreement will cost Netflix more than $5 billion and last for 10 years, with an option to extend an additional 10 years or opt out after five. Hours after the announcement, Netflix announced they had added 13.1 million subscriptions for the largest fourth-quarter gain in company history.

It was also announced that The Rock who has been WWE world champion and one of the highest-paid actors in Hollywood was appointed to the board at TKO.  There many great things happening in WWE hopefully they stay that way. As of this writing Netflix has 260 million subscribers worldwide.
