Get Ready to Drive With Twisted Metal Once Again With Season Two

Get ready to clown again behind the wheel as Peacock has announced a second season of Twisted Metal. Executive producer and series star  Anthony Mackie revealed the news Thursday night.  The announcement came during The Game Awards at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. Twisted Metal is nominated for Best Adaptation.

The television series is based on the popular PlayStation video game from the 90s.  The half-hour live-action is described as a high-octane action comedy,  and written by Michael Jonathan Smith. Season 1 of the series follows a motor-mouthed outsider ( Anthony Mackie) who is offered a chance at a better life, but only if he can successfully deliver a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland. The wasteland is filled with popular characters made popular in the game.

There has been no word by Peacock on a release date, but be sure to check back soon, when more information about season 2 becomes available. And go back and check out Season 1 now streaming on Peacock.
