Interview With Rocker Dee Snider In Support Of His New Graphic Novel ‘He’s Not Gonna Take It’

Dee Snider has partnered up with Z2 Comics on the new graphic novel “He’s Not Gonna Take It” that chronicles the real-life journey to testify in front of Congress about music censorship and importance of artists’ free speech in the 1980’s.  It also shares details from Snider’s early life where he found himself frequently silenced to early efforts that were made to stifle the music of Snider’s band Twisted Sister. “He’s Not Gonna Take It” tells the story of why free speech is so important to this man who has fought for it…even when it endangered everything that was important to him.

We had a chance to preview the graphic novel and it is beautifully put together.  Snider’s story is fascinating, and he is the perfect example of a real-life superhero and advocate for free speech and anti-censorship. We have always felt that his story is incredibly important to tell and the timing for this graphic novel release could not be any better. The artwork from Steve Kurth is fantastic, along with the work of Snider’s co-writer Frank Marrafino.

We caught up with Dee Snider at New York Comic Con to discuss the new graphic novel, working with Z2 Comics and more! You can view our full interview below:
