Comedian Joey Diaz and co-host Lee Syatt are back in podcast land with a brand new podcast that premiered today. Diaz and Syatt had a podcast a couple years ago called “The Church of What’s Happening Now” And now they are back with “The Check In” which will have weekly episodes every Tuesday.
I first saw Joey Diaz on Joe Rogan’s podcast a couple years before Covid. I was super happy to find out that Joey had a podcast, which fans call “The Church”. Diaz’s comedy, and his ability to tell a story have always captivated me, because I can picture what he is talking about. Diaz recently released a book titled ” Tremendous” that was co-authored by Erica Florentine. Joey Diaz and his co-host Lee Syatt hosted “The Church” from 2012 till the start of Covid. The pair went their separate ways at the start of Covid, but always kept in touch. Diaz moved back home to New Jersey, and raised his daughter. Diaz started a podcast called “The Joint”. Lee Syatt moved back home after living in Los Angeles, and started pursuing a comedy career.
But now Diaz and Syatt are back in the saddle again with “The Check In” a weekly podcast that will discuss comedy, current event, sports, and whatever else they want to throw in. Looking forward to listening.
