“Baroness Von Sketch Show” continues on Wednesday, November 6th at 12:00 am ET/PT. In new back-to-back episodes, “It’s a Peachy Abomination” and “No one Wants to be That Lady,” the ladies tackle living without regret, the power of the placenta, how everyone has a podcast these days and the legal ramifications of the scrunchie.
Fast-paced and irreverent, “Baroness von Sketch Show” celebrates the absurd, mines the embarrassing and satirizes our daily lives. This all-female, single-camera sketch comedy series takes a fresh look at our navel-gazing, contemporary culture. From marriage equality to screen addiction, Airbnbs to ultrasounds, this satirical sketch show captures the banalities and absurdities of modern life.
“Blue Planet Now” premieres on Saturday, November 9th at 9:00 p.m PT/ET. On the series premiere, “Whale Sanctuary,” in Mexico, Chris pairs up with scientists at the world’s biggest whale nursery to witness the arrival of gray whale mothers and their babies. Steve drops anchor in the Bahamas to take the plunge with some enormous ocean predators including Tigersharks, and on the fragile Great Barrier Reef, Liz sets up base at a research station to meet the colorful characters that live on the reef and follows the trials and tribulations of newborn turtles living on the island.
“Blue Planet Now” is an all-new follow-up series to the critically-acclaimed “Blue Planet II,” exploring the health of our oceans and marine life across the globe. “Blue Planet Now” follows hosts Chris Packham, Liz Bonnin, and Steve Backshall as they travel to different locales around the globe where marine life is coping with increasing changes. The four-episode series is executive produced by Roger Webb with Vanessa Coates serving as a series producer.
“The Walking Dead” continues on Sunday, November 10th at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT. In the new episode, “Bonds,” Carol and Daryl go on a stakeout mission together. Meanwhile, Siddiq struggles to solve a mystery.
“The Walking Dead” is a story that started 10 years ago with one man trying to find his family. That family grew and gradually communities took shape. They fought and survived, thrived and gave birth to a new generation. It is a tale of humankind and there are more stories to tell. It is now Spring, a few months after the end of Season Nine when our group of survivors dared to cross into Whisperer territory during the harsh winter. The collected communities are still dealing with the after-effects of Alpha’s horrific display of power, reluctantly respecting the new borderlines being imposed on them, all while organizing themselves into a militia-style fighting force, preparing for a battle that may be unavoidable. But the Whisperers are a threat unlike any they have ever faced. Backed by a massive horde of the dead it is seemingly a fight they cannot win. The question of what to do and the fear it breeds will infect the communities and give rise to paranoia, propaganda, secret agendas, and infighting that will test them as individuals and as a society. The very idea of whether civilization can survive in a world filled with the dead hangs in the balance.
Following “The Walking Dead,” viewers can catch an all-new episode of “Talking Dead” hosted by Chris Hardwick at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT, featuring “Black Summer” actress Jaime King.
AMC’s in-depth documentary series “Hip Hop: The Songs That Shook America,” continues with an all-new episode Sunday, November 10th at 12:00 a.m. ET/PT. In the fifth episode, “The Bridge,” a song designed to foster community pride, ignites hip hop’s most epic rap battle about the true birthplace of the genre. Guest stars in this episode include Funkmaster Flex, L.L. Cool J, Pharrell, Roxanne Shante, Marley Marl, Red Alert, MC Shan and more. Sneak Peek Clip can be seen below:
