Warner Brothers have announced that Shazam! will soar onto home video in July. After a fairly successful theatrical run that started in April, the street date and technical specifications have been revealed. The film remains the lowest grossing film in the DC Cinematic Universe thus far. Despite this, a significantly lower budget and a 90% critical score on Rottentomatoes makes the film a success. Now, Warner Brothers Home Entertainment are looking to celebrate the success of the film with a loaded home video release.

Overall, this release from WB Home Entertainment is shaping up to be one of the year’s best. The nice list of included supplemental content is promising, but the lack of a filmmaker commentary is disappointing. Director David F. Sandberg’s modern take on the classic character is much of the reason why the film was so successful. So it’s unfortunate that we won’t be getting a specific commentary from the Sweedish filmmaker. In case you somehow missed Shazam! in its original theatrical run, we’ve attached the final trailer below, along with the box art!
