IMDb Rocks The Bay With Their IMDboat At SDCC

For the third consecutive year the IMDboat returned to SDCC with Kevin Smith as their host for the weekend’s festivities. Smith interviewed a ton of celebrity guests from various TV shows and films, including a 90-minute live show (IMDb LIVE at San Diego Comic-Con). A visit by the #IMDboat would not be complete without a party, and IMDb more than delivered with it’s soiree presented by Atom Tickets!

We had the pleasure of being guests at the party and it was a star-studded affair. We saw the stars from Impractical Jokers, Tara Reid, DJ Qualls, Kat Graham, Lydia Hearst, Anderson Silva, Jimmi Simpson, Jonathan Bennett, Cress Williams and Thomas Ian Nicholas to only name a few! Seeing Tara Reid and Thomas Ian Nicholas have a little “American Pie” reunion was a real treat!  We even had an interesting conversation with film critic Leonard Maltin discussing this year’s Con and the many panels he was partaking in, as well as hosting the Eisner Awards.

There was a ping-pong table set up facing the water as an IMDb flag flew in the night air, and the DJ was spinning tunes on the top deck. Guests dined on a wall of doughnuts, a massive variety of tacos, sushi, and other goodies, and of course, don’t forget the cocktails.

The highlight for us was of course personally meeting IMDB Comic Con host Kevin Smith and he couldn’t have been nicer! He was excited to be there and of course incredibly excited for what’s to come!

The party was hosted by Atom Tickets and they as well had a fun presence at the party, treating us to a fun game of digital “Wheel of Fortune” guessing tv/film titles for a chance to win some giftcards and free movie passes.

Overall the party on the IMDboat was amazing and incredibly well put together. The staff on the boat and those running the party were super nice and personable. We just wish we could set sail with them every day.
