‘Stranger Things’ Comes to Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights

Are you a fan of Stranger Things? Dying to get a better look at the Upside Down? Well lucky for you that’s exactly what you will be able to do at Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights.

The theme park has announced that it is partnering with Netflix to bring Stranger Things to life at this year’s Halloween Horror Nights. The small town of Hawkins, Ind., will be recreated at Universal Studios’ Hollywood, Orlando, and Singapore parks, where guests will be stalked by the Demogorgon, the monster from Season 1 of the hit series.

Designed to put you in the world of the Upside Down The mazes “bring the chittering, predatory Demogorgon to Halloween Horror Nights to stalk unwitting guests as they encounter iconic scenes, characters, and environments from the mesmerizing series,”according to the Universal press release. A brief description is also provided:

“From the menacing Hawkins National Laboratory, under the U.S. Department of Energy, to the Byers home adorned with an erratic display of flashing Christmas lights and the eerie Upside Down woods oozing a shower of floating orb-like spores, the chilling new mazes will offer surprising twists and unexpected turns around every corner,”

Series creators Matt and Ross Duffer are involved in designing the new event with executive producer Shawn Levy, even as all three will be busy with Stranger Things 3 production this year. The Stranger Things theme is only guaranteed for 2018, similarly to The Walking Dead event at Halloween Horror Nights which went on to become a permanent addition.

Along with the announcement for the upcoming Horror Nights addition, Universal also released a clip promoting the event. Check it out right here.
