Netflix has released a teaser trailer for their long-awaited ‘Lost in Space‘ reboot. Although the trailer essential serves as an announcement for the premiere date of the new series mores than anything else, Netflix has been kind enough to provide a batch of new images that give us our first good look at the new reboot of a corny 60’s TV show that has been rebranded into what is now a “dramatic and modern reimagining” of the series. For those that are unaware, New Line attempted to reboot the franchise in 1998 with a movie of the same name, but it turned out to be a surge on the careers of the people involved and completely killed the franchise before it could even begin.
The new reboot for ‘Lost in Space‘-which is set 30 years in the future-follows the escapades of the Robinson family after they are marooned on an uncharted planet and forced to survive on their own. The new series stars Toby Stephens, Molly Parker, Ignacio Serricchio, Taylor Russell, Mina Sundwall, Maxwell Jenkins, Parker Posey, and Raza Jaffrey. All 10 episodes of the first season are due on April 13, 2018, but until the here’s the trailer, new images , and official synopsis below:

Lost in Space is a Netflix Original dramatic and modern reimagining of the classic 1960’s science fiction series. Set 30 years in the future, colonization in space is now a reality, and the Robinson family is among those tested and selected to make a new life for themselves in a better world. But when the new colonists find themselves abruptly torn off course en route to their new home they must forge new alliances and work together to survive in a dangerous alien environment, light-years from their original destination. Stranded along with the Robinsons are two outsiders who find themselves thrown together by circumstance and a mutual knack for deception. The unsettlingly charismatic Dr. Smith (Parker Posey) is a master manipulator with an inscrutable end game. And the roguish, but inadvertently charming Don West (Ignacio Serricchio) is a highly-skilled, blue collar contractor, who had no intention of joining the colony, let alone crash landing on a lost planet.
