‘Justice League’ Honest Trailer Pulls No Punches

Now that Warner Bros’ failed superhero team up movie, ‘Justice League‘ is quickly approaching it’s home video release date in a couple of weeks, the good folks over at Screen Junkies have focused their sights on the film with the latest in their “Honest Trailer” series, and they aren’t pulling any punches. As they so astutely point out, ‘Justice League‘ rests somewhere between the awful ‘Suicide Squad‘ and the really good ‘Wonder Woman‘.

As much as I wanted to like ‘Justice League’, it’s hard to ignore some of the film’s flaws, and this honest trailer does a good job of hitting the nail on the head in terms of addressing most of those flaws. Whether it be downgrade in terms of characterization set up in the previous films, Henry Cavill‘s awful cgi mustache, the wooden villain in steppenwolf, and the uneven tone. It’s interesting, because I never thought about how much the film seems to forget what’s happened before.

There are several great moments in the honest trailer, but it’s quite truthful at the same time, especially in terms of the supposed “Snyder Cut” essentially being a fanboy pipe-dream. In a way, this honest trailer seems to make more sense than the movie itself. Regardless, ‘Justice League‘ hits store shelves on March 13, 2018. Until then, you can check out the honest trailer, along with the official synopsis for the film below:

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists newfound ally Diana Prince to face an even greater threat. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to recruit a team to stand against this newly awakened enemy. Despite the formation of an unprecedented league of heroes — Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and the Flash — it may be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
