Johnny Depp Let Go From ‘Fantastic Beasts’

The year may be wrapping up but cancel culture is still in full effect. Just days after Johnny Depp lost his court battle against the British newspaper The Sun, Depp was asked by Warner Bros to step down from his role of Grindelwald in film franchise Fantastic Beasts. Depp has portrayed the character in the previous two films.

Various news sources including CNN and Variety have reported that it was Warner Bros had asked him to step down. Depp confirmed the news in a post on Instagram post. “I wish to let you know that I have been asked to resign by Warner Bros. from my role as Grindelwald in Fantastic Beasts and I have respected and agreed to that request,” Depp wrote. It looks like Warner Bros was just waiting out its time for the verdict to be read which is sad, because Depp did bring a certain fanbase to the franchise.

Fantastic Beasts 3 is in production now and fans are looking forward to seeing who will now play the dark wizard. Johnny Depp has been at the top of his game for many decades and we hope he will rise above all this negativity and will once again reign supreme. Good luck Johnny it’s only one movie. Hope to see you on the big screen again soon.
