Lucha Underground Is Slamming It’s Way Through Season 3

(AOTN) Lucha Underground is in the midst of enjoying a successful season 3 on the El Rey Network. Season 3 will feature 40 episodes which is more episodes than the past two seasons. This season will follow up on the events of season two, especially the feuds left unresolved at the end of Ultima Lucha Dos.

All the wrestling matches for season 3 were filmed at the Lucha UndergroundTemple” set in Boyle Heights,Los Angeles, California between March and June, 2016. The Lucha Underground show has been described as a serial television drama series featuring professional wrestling matches and fictional story lines.  The finale for season 3 will be titled Ultima Lucha Tres on a date that has not been announced yet.

Lucha Underground uses wrestlers from the American independent scene and Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide. Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide, is one of the largest wrestling companies in Mexico, and also owns a percentage of the television show. Lucha is produced by two big names in Mark Burnett (Survivor,Shark Tank) and Robert Rodriguez (Machete,Desperado) just to name a few.

During a recent press conference El Rey Network CCO, Skip Chaisson revealed that a Season 4 ” looks good.” No official date for a season 4 has been announced. Stay tuned.
