We Get a Look at ‘Alien Covenant’ With Official Clip “The Last Supper”

As we delve further into the year we find ourselves rapidly approaching Ridley Scott’s highly anticipated return to the franchise he created over 30 years ago with ‘Alien Covenant’. The fact that Scott is returning to the directors chair after all this time has me buying tickets before seeing a single piece of marketing. Having said that, what we have seen rom the marketing has been really good, now setting anticipation levels even higher.

Instead of traditional second trailer, 20th Century FOX has deceived to release a clip from the film titled “The Prologue:The Last Supper”. Weather this clip actually appears in the film has yet to be confirmed but its pretty inconsequential. The main focus is introducing us to the characters and setting the tone. This is similar to the marketing we saw leading up to the release of ‘Prometheus’.

The Prologue: Last Supper short introduces the crew of the mission. Set aboard the Covenant, a colonization ship on its way to a remote planet to form a new human settlement, the main crew (all couples) and their android, Walter, enjoy one last meal together before cryosleep.

When they uncover a threat beyond their imagination, they must attempt a harrowing escape.
