The Return Of CM Punk At AEW’S Collision

Since its debut on the professional wrestling scene in 2019, AEW has been the talk of the wrestling world. Some of the talks have been good, and some have been bad, but at the end of the day, people are talking about the product. One of the most talked about subjects over the past year has been where CM Punk has been.

Wherever he goes, CM Punk is always surrounded by controversy. Punk, who had retired from the pro wrestling scene, debuted in AEW on August 20, 2021. His debut with the company brought many new eyes to the company. Punk had a good run with the company feuding with its top guys, including  Darby Allen, Eddie Kingston,  John Moxley, and MJF.

During last year’s All Out media scrum, Punk once again dropped a ‘pipe bomb’  insisting that some wrestlers backstage were leaking rumors to wrestling sites. A couple of those wrestlers (the elite) barged into Punk’s locker room after the press conference, and a huge fight ensued. Everyone involved in the battle was suspended, and titles were dropped. And time went on and on, and people still talked.

But recently on AEW’s Wednesday night show Dynamite, AEW president Tony Khan announced that CM Punk will be at the taping of AEW’s new show AEW Collision which will debut on TNT on Saturday night, June 17th, and will take place from Punk’s hometown of Chicago, Illinois.  Are you excited about CM Punk’s return?
