Fans fell in love with Ruth Langmore in the hit Netflix show Ozark. Ruth was a character that had a foul mouth, but a good heart, and was brought to life by actress Julia Garner. The actress has had quite the year with Ozark ending and and her starring role in the Netflix miniseries Inventing Anna.
And the year is not over, and now it is being reported that the actress has been offered the role of Madonna. There has been a lot of speculation on who would get to portray the singer going back a couple months when plans for a movie were announced by Universal. The movie will be directed by Madonna and produced by Amy Pascal. No other cast has been announced.
The rumored casting for the film has been quite the obstacle. We know from reports that whoever auditioned had go through choreography sessions with the singer’s choreographer, as well as choreography, singing and reading sessions with Madonna. Hearing the news of Garner and Madonna working together had fans applauding all over social media.
