Netflix Win’s With Squid Games

If you want heartbreak and gore look no farther than the hit show on Netflix, Squid Games which is now streaming. The show is now rated number #1 on Netflix and that is a good thing for anyone who is hating the fact that Netflix is really not producing any good horror/drama. Hopefully that all changes and shows the streaming service that people are really into this stuff.

Squid Games revolves around a South Korean survival game centers on a contest where 456 players, drawn from different walks of life but each deeply in debt, play a set of children’s games with deadly penalties for losing. The winner of the game will recieve 45.6 billion prize (that is approximately 33 million or US$38 million). Hwang had conceived of the idea based on his own economic struggles early in life as well as the class disparity within South Korea.

The show was created by Hwang Dong-hyuk who also wrote and directed all nine episodes. The show stars Lee Jung-jae, Park Hae-soo, Wi Ha-joon, and Heo Sung-tae. Just finished watching all nine episodes and the show was awesome, and I am having fun telling everyone about it.

A second season has not been announced yet, but its highly likely that the show will return for a second season.
