Age of The Nerd
In the latest instalment in the Saw franchise a criminal mastermind unleashes a a twisted form of justice in Spiral :From the Book of Saw. Working in the shadow of his father, an esteemed police veteran (Samuel L. Jackson), brash Detective Ezekiel “Zeke” Banks (Chris Rock) and his rookie partner (Max Minghella) take charge of a grisly investigation into murders that are eerily reminiscent of the city’s gruesome past. The detective finds himself trapped in the killers gruesome game.
The movie was directed by Darren Lynn Bousman who is no stranger to the franchise after directing three of the previous films. Chris Rock who is a fan of the Saw films pitched an idea to Lionsgate and they made him a story writer with the screenplay written by Josh Stolberg and Pete Goldfinger.
