Teaser Trailer Revealed For ‘The Batman’

As promised during the massive DC Fandome event director Matt Reeves shared the first teaser trailer for the upcoming film “The Batman” starring Robert Pattinson taking on the role of the caped crusader.

Fans began sharing their sentiments regarding the trailer via social media immediately upon its release and so far the feedback looks to be positive. Many seem pleased with the overall grittiness and dark theme that was showcased in the nearly two-minute trailer.

We see Pattinson’s Batman paired up with his police commissioner comrade James Gordon played by actor Jeffrey Wright to solve a very dark and disturbing murder mystery. We also caught our first glimpse of Catwoman aka Selina Kyle played by Zoe Kravitz.

Many fans also commented on the style of the new Batmobile, which still carries a sleek look and features what appear to be blueish tinted flame boosters in the back. We once again seen Gotham City riddled with criminals and of course where would a Batman film be without a good ol’ torrential downpour and a sinister soundtrack, as the trailer is set to a remake of Nirvana’s “Something in the Way”.

“The Batman” was originally set to hit theaters on June 25, 2021, but was pushed back because of the coronavirus pandemic and its’ ongoing impact on the production schedule.

The highly anticipated film is now set to hit theaters just in time for Halloween on October 1, 2021.
