Jodie Whittaker Will Return For Dr. Who For Season 13

We can say that it comes as no real surprise that actress Jodie Whittaker, who is now into her second year as The Doctor, will be making a return for “Dr. Who” season 13 as well!

Whittaker took on the infamous role of The Doctor back in October of 2018 marking the first time the role has gone to a female in the series 55-year history. The past twelve roles for The Doctor have all been men. Whittaker revealed in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that she will be commandeering the TARDIS for at least one more season.

Despite suffering misogynistic attacks from fans who were angry that their hero was no longer a man when she took over from Peter Capaldi, Jodie Whittaker has quickly found her feet alongside new showrunner Chris Chibnall. We think she has been absolutely splendid in the role.

“Yes, I’m doing another season. That might be a massive exclusive that I’m not supposed to say, but it’s unhelpful for me to say [I don’t know] because it would be a massive lie! I absolutely adore it. At some point, these shoes are going to be handed on, but it’s not yet. I’m clinging on tight!”

There are really no set rules when it comes to a series like “Dr. Who”, but we can certainly hold out hope that Whittaker will be piloting her way through at least a few more seasons.
