New Trailer Revealed For ‘Birds Of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation Of One Harley Quinn)’

From what we learned in the new trailer for “Birds Of Prey” it is fairly obvious that Harley Quinn and The Joker are no more and she appears to have joined forces with quite the array of female friends. Harley Quinn was without a doubt a huge highlight in the 2016 film “Suicide Squad” fantastically played by actress Margot Robbie.

The trailer shows that Harley is up to a variety of different shenanigans and it appears that screenwriter Christina Hodson has done a fantastic job of creating a Harley-centric storyline based on the original comic book series “Birds Of Prey” which only occasionally brought in Harley Quinn as a character.

In the film, Harley Quinn appears as quite the loose cannon and she teams up with Black Canary (Jurnee Smollett-Bell), Huntress (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), and Renee Montoya (Rosie Perez) a former police detective to protect a young girl named Cassandra Cain (Ella Jay Basco) from sadistic crime lord Black Mask (Ewan McGregor).

Harley Quinn will be popping up on the big screen quite a bit in the near future, as she is slated to appear in “Gotham City Sirens” which could pair her up with the likes of Poison Ivy and Catwoman and another film that is being planned that focuses on her relationship with Joker. Margot Robbie will also reprise the role in a “soft reboot” called “The Suicide Squad”, currently slated for an August 2021 release, with Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn at the helm.

“Bird Of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation Of One Harley Quinn)” is set for release on February 7, 2020.
