The upcoming premiere for the latest installment of the “American Horror Story” franchise is right around the corner, as season 9 titled “AHS: 1984” will be coming to FX on September 18th!
Season 9 will take place in the 1980s and will pay tribute to the slasher genre made popular by movies such as Halloween and Friday the 13th. The series will follow a group of teens who travel to a deserted summer camp to spend the weekend. They’re the perfect fresh meat for a terrifying serial killer (or several), who’s familiar with the classics … cue Jason Voorhees!
The horror anthology by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk will surely pay homage to the slasher genre and we can’t wait to see what other references we can pick up throughout the upcoming season. Check out the full trailer below:
