truTV’s Impractical Jokers Invade with First-Ever SDCC Panel

truTV, a division of WarnerMedia Entertainment, is bringing one of television’s top-rated and longest running series Impractical Jokers to Comic-Con® International for its first-ever panel. On Thursday, July 18 at 7:30pm PT the “Impractical Jokers: From Hidden Camera to Worldwide Success” panel will be held at The Horton Grand Theatre (444 4th Avenue, San Diego).

Fans can join Brian “Q” Quinn, Sal Vulcano, James “Murr” Murray and Joe Gatto, collectively known as the comedy troupe The Tenderloins, as they share first-hand how four guys from Staten Island built a massive, global franchise from the ground up. During the hourlong panel moderated by Tom Kenny (SpongeBob SquarePants), the guys will reveal insights from their television series, worldwide tours, the Impractical Jokers cruise, and more. In addition to never-before-seen footage from the Impractical Jokers television series, fans will also be treated to a first look at the guys’ upcoming TBS comedy, The Misery Index, a new game show hosted by Jameela Jamil and inspired by the card game Sh*t Happens.

Following the panel, on Saturday, July 20, truTV will again take over the Park at Petco Park with a daylong event for Impractical Jokersfans, which this year will be dubbed Impractical Jokers: Jokers IslandVisitors looking for an oasis from the crowds are invited to join in on this free, family-friendly event fun with games, giveaways, and an exclusive screening of a never-before-seen episode. 12:00pm: Doors open to the public at the entrance on 7th and K Street

 

1:00-9:00 p.m. PT: Join truTV and thousands of fans at the one-of-a-kind Island getaway celebrating all things Impractical Jokers. In addition to a music set by DJ G Money, a Staten Island Ferry Photo Experience, exclusive Jokers merchandise, custom face painting, free food, LiveImpractical Jokers Sand Sculpture, and a misting tent from truTV’s new hit series Tacoma FD to help fans cool off throughout the day.

3:00pm: The Misery Index – Game Sneak Peek

Coming soon to TBS, The Misery Index is the only game show where contestants can make a fortune out of other people’s mis-fortune. Come watch a special live sampling of the game where the Tenderloins will pair up with contestants selected from the audience as they are challenged to rank hysterically miserable real-life events on a scale of 1-100 based on The Misery Index, a ranking system created by a team of therapists.

4:30-6:00pm: An autograph signing with Joe, Murr, Q and Sal!

7:15pm: A live presentation of Impractically Speaking: The Jokers’ Live Web Show hosted by Joey Fatone and sponsored by MTN DEW®.Fans outside of San Diego can tune-in to the livestream of the web show on truTV’s YouTube and Facebook pages.

8:00-8:30pm: An exclusive viewing of the mid-season premiere of Impractical Jokers, which returns with new episodes on Thursday, August 8 at 10:00pm ET/PT

While in San Diego, truTV continues its partnership with MTN DEW  as sponsor for the debut of the Impractical Jokers Museum on Wheels, making its first stop in the Interactive Zone at Petco Park on Thursday, July 18 and Friday, July 19, before moving on to the Park at Petco Park for Jokers Island on Saturday, July 20The museum is a continuation of the highly successful Impractical Jokers: HomecomingExhibit that debuted at the Staten Island Museum in July 2018. Visitors will see original costumes, props and art created over the past eight seasons, and learn about the behind-the-scenes production of the series. And that’s not all. Once fans exit the museum, they’ll have the opportunity to snap photos at an interactive Impractical Jokers photo booth using MTN DEW inspired props. Fans can share their photos on social media using the hashtag #JokersDew. After its debut in San Diego, the museum will be stationed throughout The Tenderloins “The Cranjis McBasketball World Comedy Tour” stops in Clarkston, MI on Friday, August 9; Tinley Park, IL on Saturday, August 10; and Noblesville, IN on Sunday, August 11. In addition to sponsoring the museum and live web show, in San Diego, MTN DEW will have customized signage, videos, and sampling throughout Jokers Island.
