Pop! Pop! Ep. 39 – Comic-Con 2019 Preview & Stranger Things 3

THE GANG IS GOING TO COMIC-CON 2019!  Happy Comic-Con week everyone, 14 years in the can and it’s never any less exciting!  In this episode we break down the big draws coming to the infamous Hall H. Marvel is back for the first time in a few years, the goddamn Russo Brothers have their own Hall H panel (we’re hoping for some Star Wars news), The Walking Dead is back as always and Kevin Smith is premiering the trailer for the Jay and Silent Bob Reboot at his staple Saturday night panel. It’s going to be nuts, and we’re trying to give you a new episode of Pop! Pop! every single night of the con.

Amazon’s TV department is on fire right now!  So we break down the two most anticipated shows coming up: The Boys and Paper Girls.  Garth Ennis and Brian K. Vaughan are two of the best comic book writers of all time and we couldn’t be any more excited for these shows.  Sure, we’ve been cheated out of the Y: the Last Man show for years now, but as long as we get some sort of Brian K Vaughan goodness, we’ll get over it.

Stranger Things, the series that took the world by storm, reigned supreme back in 2016 but when the second season premiered a year later… they had sort of fumbled.  Cut to this year and they are BACK!  Everyone and their mom are hailing this as the best form of Stranger Things and we agree… hard.  We review the season and speculate about what season 4 could possibly have in store for us.  Let’s just say we’re big fans of Sheriff Hopper.

All this and more on this week’s episode of Pop! Pop! the Pop Culture Podcast… and again, happy Comic-Con 2019 everyone!
