Comic-Con 2019 Party Guide! Spend The Evenings ‘Nerding’ Out All Over Town!

This year is a huge year for San Diego Comic-Con, as 2019 marks the 50 year anniversary for the convention and as you can imagine they are certainly celebrating in a big way. Once all the days’ panels and activations have come to a close, it is time to get the nightlife started and there will be plenty of activities to keep the party going all night long as you make your way around San Diego’s famed Gaslamp District.

We have compiled a list of some amazing parties and events taking place during San Diego Comic-Con that are definitely worth checking out if you can!  Keep in mind, some parties and events are invite-only or require an RSVP, so please read carefully and follow the appropriate steps to be sure your evening will run smoothly.

Wednesday, July 17th (Preview Night)

The Batman Experience

Batman’s Comic-Con Museum Character Hall of Fame Induction
5:30 p.m.-12 a.m.; located at 2131 Pan American Plaza in Balboa Park

The event happens during The Gathering, the first annual fundraiser for the Comic-Con Museum, and will be held at the museum’s future site.

The Pop Insider Gets Geeky in San Diego, July 17 – 21, with Con-Inspired Parties, Cosplay, Fan Activities and More!

IMDboat features Wendy’s BaconFest, with the first-ever IMDb Fan Party
On Thursday evening (July 18), Wendy’s is kicking off its huge summer event, the Wendy’s BaconFest on the IMDboat, by hosting the first-ever IMDb Fan Party from 7:30PM to 10:30PM. As the #1 seller of bacon cheeseburgers*, no one knows bacon like Wendy’s. Applewood smoked and fresh from an oven daily, the Wendy’s BaconFest is the ultimate bacon bash to celebrate fan’s love for bacon. Fandom Party Featuring R.U.N., the First Live Action Thriller by Cirque du Soleil
Time TBA; located at Float rooftop bar, Hard Rock Hotel. Fandom’s fourth annual rooftop Comic-Con party brings a touch of Vegas glitz to San Diego with an exclusive sneak peek of “R.U.N.”, Cirque du Soleil’s upcoming new show. Party attendees will get to see an act inspired by “R.U.N.” and created by “R.U.N.” Show Director Michael Schwandt and Creation Director Stefan Miljevic. It sounds bonkers too: Featuring narration by Robert Rodriguez, who wrote “R.U.N.,” the performance will include pyrotechnics, “an epic rooftop battle,” motorcycle trick-riding, and stunts. And when its over, attendees will dance to a soundtrack courtesy of a live performance by Girl Talk.

Special guests include: members of the cast of You’re Not a Monster including Kelsey Grammer and show creator Frank Lesser; Kevin Smith; industry influencers; and more.
