Beth Chapman, Star of ‘Dog the Bounty Hunter,’ Dies at 51

Star of the “Dog the Bounty Hunter” reality TV show, Beth Chapman has died after a rough battle with cancer. She was 51. Her husband, Duane “Dog” Chapman, announced the news Wednesday in a post on Twitter.

Dog Chapman wrote, “It’s 5:32 in Hawaii, this is the time she would wake up to go hike Koko Head mountain. Only today, she hiked the stairway to heaven. We all love you, Beth. See you on the other side.”

In late June 2019, Chapman was hospitalized in Honolulu after having difficulty breathing and passing out momentarily, Doctors put her into a medically induced coma to spare her from pain during the treatment, according to family spokeswoman Mona Wood-Sword.

Chapman was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2017 after having a nagging cough checked out, Wood-Sword said. She was declared cancer-free after the removal of a tumor, but she was later diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and has now passed away due to the cancer.

Beth Chapman is survived by her husband and 12 children. The article was first seen and reported on by Fox29.

About Age of the Nerd

Age of the nerd was created for the same reason most entertainment sites were started. A group of disgruntled journalists got together and decided our opinion was more valuable… In a day when it’s easier to get a position as a freelance writer or just create your own job, a small group of us got together and asked the obvious question: why not us? So after a heated discussion on ideas, focus and long-term goals, we decided to just go for it. What’s the worst that can happen?
