Age of The Nerd
As our beloved “Game Of Thrones” comes to its’ epic conclusion, we only have to wait a few short weeks for our next HBO indulgence, as “Big Little Lies” season two will be making its’ premiere on June 9th!
Judging by the latest trailer, we are certainly going to be in for one heck of a rough ride throughout season two!
The last time we saw the Monterey Five, they’d just gotten rid of Perry (Alexander Skarsgård) once and for all. Celeste’s former partner was shoved down a flight of stairs by none other than Bonnie (Zoë Kravitz) during an altercation. The five women involved in the incident will have to stick together to cover up the truth about the death, classed as accidental by the local authorities.
But they didn’t reckon with Mary Louise Wright, aka the dead man’s mother, played by the brilliant Meryl Streep. She appears several times in the trailer, in scenes including a heated discussion between her and Celeste (Nicole Kidman). As we know, secrets are never kept for long in the small coastal town of Monterey and problems are never far away.
