A new trailer has been unleashed for the Elton John biopic, Rocketman. Taron Egerton (as seen in Eddie The Eagle) acting as Sir Elton John performs “Tiny Dancer” and does a great job at showcasing the highlights of John’s life and career. Rocketman is also starring Jamie Bell, Richard Madden, and Bryce Dallas Howard, is out in theaters May 17th.
In the first teaser trailer for the movie, it showcased Elton John’s road to fame and success, which you can watch below:
The film showcases John’s life “from his years as a prodigy at the Royal Academy of Music through his influential and enduring musical partnership with Bernie Taupin,” The film has been billed as “based on a true fantasy”, and the trailer ends with a brief shot of Sir Elton’s famous 1975 Dodger Stadium concerts in Los Angeles.
