It was a big night for “Bohemian Rhapsody” star Rami Malek that ended with an even bigger bang when the actor who took home the Oscar for Best Actor at the 91st Academy Awards fell off the stage right after accepting his award.
Malek was photographed as he toppled off the Oscar stage after the ceremony came to a close, but rest assured he was still gripping his newly earned Oscar trophy tight! Malek can be seen holding his Oscar high in the air after the fall. He landed in the audience area and had a look of pure shock on his face.
Sources say that Malek was treated by paramedics on the scene, but appears to have only suffered some minor injuries and perhaps a little embarrassment. Malek missed out on posing with his fellow actors Mahershala Ali, Regina King and Olivia Colman, who won for Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress and Best Actress, respectively due to the fall and his treatment on scene.
Let’s hope that Malek was not seriously injured and we are sure he was right back up on his feet again to further celebrate Oscar night and his big win!
